Located in Central Illinois at the crossroads of Interstate 57 and 70, Effingham is a bustling and growing community with a small town attitude. Although small in number with a population of 12,400, Effingham has much of the conveniences found only in larger metropolitan cities. The most recent addition being the 1,564 seat Rosebud Theater drawing big name entertainment from all over the world. To help accommodate the 38,000 vehicles that pass thru daily on the two interstates, Effingham has 18 motels and hotels, and over 60 restaurants.

Also on the horizon is the new proposed City Sports Complex, offering residents everything from an indoor ice hockey rink, elevated track, to an indoor pool.
